All of the projects within SciCompForge and thier components (Plone-based Content management, Trac, Subversion) are linked to a common authentication and authorization system. This permits users to access multiple sites and components with just one username and password.
In addition to the centralized authentication and authorization system each site has a local system that can be used to collect information on people who need more authoring capabilities than the general public but who are not memebers of the development community.
